Abstract(s)
The use of games in the tourism sector has been applied to an
increasing number of tourism destinations. The objective of this research is to
propose the creation of a digital game, using the storytelling, which allows to
deepen the knowledge of the cultural and natural heritage about Peso da Régua.
In defining the research methodology, it was considered appropriate to imple-
ment the collection and analysis of primary data through a qualitative approach,
using the focus group, with the objective of collecting information on cultural
and natural heritage, identifying tourism resources based on wine production
and gastronomy, as well as the most relevant characteristics of the region. The
results presented show that telling the story about a tourism destination is an
important element for gamification.
