Abstract(s)
Este projeto tem como propósito a composição e produção musical de um EP intitulado All the way from Mars, com o apoio de um enquadramento teórico e contextual da música pop, capaz de comprovar a transcendência de parâmetros utilizados e iniciar uma desconstrução do preconceito que existe no meio erudito/académico em relação a este género.
Na formulação dos contributos deste trabalho, emergem diversos objetivos que apontam para: a compreensão das razões que levam a música pop a uma apreciação que não merece grande mérito se não o comercial; que fatores de influência tem este género sobre os ouvintes; a identificação dos motivos pelos quais a pop se torna tão apelativa e comercial; o contexto sociológico como influenciador da sua evolução; a capacidade de elevar um artista pop; identificação de critérios de avaliação e julgamento musical; análise de construção da singularidade.
Como resultado, pretende-se promover a música pop, capaz e merecedora de mérito, que torne possível uma apreciação estética ao mesmo nível que outros géneros musicais.
The purpose of this project is to compose an EP entitled All the way from Mars, supporting a theoretical and contextual framework of pop music, capable of controlling the transcendence of parameters used and initiating a deconstruction of the prejudice that exists in the erudite/academic environment in relation to this genre. In formulating the contributions of this work, several objectives emerge that point to: understanding the reasons that lead pop music to a certain appreciation that does not deserve great merit if not commercial; what influence factors does this genre have on listeners; the identification of the reasons why pop becomes so appealing and commercial; the sociological context as an influence on its evolution; the ability to elevate a pop artist; identification of evaluation criteria and musical judgment; construction analysis of singularity. As a result, it is intended to promote the level of pop music, capable and deserving of merit, which makes possible an aesthetic appreciation at the same time as musical genres.
