Abstract(s)
Além disso, a versão stencil
design.
Over time, letters have appeared everywhere. Typography is expressed in restaurants, cafés, stores, gardens, cinemas, squares, museums, traffic signs, train stations, bus stops and advertising tiles. The aim of this study is to combine design and tiles in the construction of a typographic system made up of four fonts: serif, grotesque, stencil and monospaced. In the first phase, a literature review was used to support the development of concepts based on work already carried out by researchers with a common interest. Then, in a second phase, the possible forms of letter design were investigated using a study of the character derivation table. In a third phase, the research was implemented, resulting in the creation of a typographic system. The results show multiple forms of application on various media through the use of letters or patterns. Thus, through this typographic system, the user can enjoy the creation of titles, through one font or the combination of several, all of which share the same proportions. In addition, the stencil version was developed as a connector to the tile pattern, allowing patterns to be created by joining letters together. Similarly, the project also allows for the creation of borders and patterns that can be applied to various supports by rotating and inverting a module, expanding its potential contribution to design.
