Abstract(s)
A área da música, a sua relação e influência com o ser humano é bastante
diversa, integrando desde os estudos sobre a prática musical, o estudo de diferentes
instrumentos e géneros musicais até à psicologia e ciência. Contudo, o foco desta
proposta de projeto é o design de instrumentos musicais, particularmente, instrumentos
cordofones - nos quais, a principal influência é a guitarra clássica.
O objetivo principal, neste projeto, é a aplicação da teoria investigada na
construção de um protótipo de um instrumento cordofone, baseado na guitarra clássica.
Para isso, foi necessário recolher dados relativos aos cordofones, a guitarra clássica e sua
construção, aos aspetos mais pertinentes da acústica e ergonomia. Quanto à componente
prática, a mesma contou com a orientação de um construtor de cordofones, que
transmitiu conhecimentos teóricos e práticos relacionados com a construção de um
instrumento cordofone.
Deste projeto resultou um protótipo funcional de um novo instrumento musical,
com características ligadas a diferentes cordofones, englobando alguns componentes
que permitem que o mesmo funcione acusticamente, sem a necessidade de um
amplificador.
The music field, its relationship and influence with the human being is quite diverse, integrating from studies on musical practice, study of different musical instruments and genres to psychology and science. However, the main scope of this project proposal is the design of musical instruments, particularly, string instruments - in which, the main influence is the classical guitar. in this project, the main goal is the application of theoretical review in the construction of a prototype of a string instrument, based on the classical guitar. For that, it was necessary to compile data regarding the string instruments, the classical guitar and its construction, the most pertinent aspects of acoustics and ergonomics. As for the practical component, it had the guidance of a maker of string instruments, who transmitted theoretical and practical knowledge related to the construction of a string instrument. A functional prototype of a new musical instrument resulted from this project, with characteristics related to different chordophones, including some components that allow it to work acoustically, without the need for an amplifier.
