This study examines the balance between personal and professional life within the context of female entrepreneurship, seeking to understand how women reconcile the demands of managing a business with family and personal responsibilities. Recognizing the growing relevance of female entrepreneurship as a catalyst for innovation and a promoter of gender equality, the research explores differences in perception between men and women, as well as between entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs, regarding the balance among various life domains. Based on a quantitative approach, an online questionnaire was administered to 279 participants. The instrument included dimensions such as workload, family and organizational support, career development opportunities, locus of control, self-efficacy, and attitudes towards entrepreneurship. Statistical analysis, using the SPSS software, identified significant group differences and highlighted factors influencing satisfaction with work-life balance. The results reveal that women continue to experience role overload, managing both business and family responsibilities simultaneously. Family and organizational support emerge as key determinants of satisfaction and well-being, while individual characteristics such as internal locus of control and entrepreneurial self-efficacy distinguished entrepreneurs from non-entrepreneurs, reflecting different perceptions of balance and engagement with entrepreneurship. Gender differences were also found in the perception of career development opportunities and institutional support. It is concluded that promoting an environment conducive to work-life balance requires not only inclusive policies and stronger support networks but also a cultural transformation that recognizes and values women’s contribution to entrepreneurship and society.
