Abstract(s)
Este trabalho analisa a regulação burocrática profissional, com enfoque nos
deveres e direitos dos professores no ensino superior privado, procurando
destacar este contexto no qual os docentes estão submetidos. O lugar da
pesquisa foi uma instituição de ensino superior brasileira localizada em São
Luís, capital do Estado do Maranhão, salientando as características do setor
privado com o objetivo de identificar os dilemas a que estão submetidos os
professores no sistema universitário privado do país, posto que não possuem
estabilidade de emprego, não dispõem de regulamentação adequada às
atividades específicas que desempenham; não têm no magistério superior sua
ocupação principal que assegure os recursos integrais para a subsistência e não
apresentam um processo formativo adequado e voltado para as necessidades
da atividade docente, apesar de maioritariamente possuírem algum tipo de
pós-graduação. A metodologia adotada é de matriz qualitativa com assente no
estudo de caso, com recurso à observação, e a entrevista semi-estruturada,
recorrendo à triangulação dos dados como técnica para análise dos dados
recolhidos. Os resultados permitem afirmar que o processo de regulação dos
profissionais do ensino superior é do tipo burocrática e possui características
diferenciadas. Ressalta-se que os professores das instituições privadas não
conseguem firmarem-se como profissionais, no que diz respeito aos direitos
legalmente assegurados nas suas entidades de representação e não possuem
uma estrutura sistemática de atuação profissional
This paper analyzes bureaucratic professional regulation, focusing on the duties and rights of teachers in private higher education, trying to highlight this context in which teachers are submitted. The research site was a Brazilian higher education institution located in São Luís, capital of the State of Maranhão, highlighting the characteristics of the private sector in order to identify the dilemmas faced by teachers in the country's private university system. they do not have job stability, they do not have adequate regulation for the specific activities they carry out; do not have in their higher education their main occupation that ensures the integral resources for subsistence and do not present an adequate training process and directed to the needs of the teaching activity, although they have some type of postgraduate degree. The methodology adopted is based on the qualitative matrix based on the case study, with the use of observation, and the semi-structured interview, using the triangulation of the data as a technique to analyze the data collected. The results allow us to affirm that the process of regulation of higher education professionals is bureaucratic and has different characteristics. It should be emphasized that teachers of private institutions can not establish themselves as professionals, with regard to rights legally ensured in their representation entities and do not have a systematic structure of professional performance
