| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório tem como objetivo descrever a minha experiência de estágio no Centro de Estudos Organizacionais e Sociais do Politécnico do Porto (CEOS.PP), de forma a concluir o mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas. Optei por realizar um estágio curricular, de modo a aplicar tudo o que aprendi durante o meu percurso no Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP), assim como aperfeiçoar as minhas soft skills e adquirir maior experiência e conhecimento na área da tradução. Por conseguinte, foram relatadas todas as tarefas realizadas em estágio, como também foi exposta uma componente teórica enquadrada com o trabalho realizado no CEOS.PP. Na componente teórica, foram exploradas as práticas de tradução e de pós-edição de tradução automática trabalhadas no centro de investigação, no ponto de vista de autores como Nitze & Hansen-Schirra, Kenny, Shin D. e Chon Y. V., entre outros. Apresento a história da tradução automática, assim como a evolução dos sistemas de tradução automática, as vantagens e desvantagens da tradução automática neural, os tipos de pós-edição, os seus riscos, os desafios e estratégias da pós-edição de tradução automática, as competências que um pós-editor deve possuir, como também, faço uma breve introdução à pós-edição bilingue. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This report aims to describe the internship performed at the Centre for Organisational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (CEOS.PP) to conclude the master’s degree in Specialised Translation and Interpreting. I carried out a curricular internship to apply everything I learned during my journey at the Porto Accounting and Business School (ISCAP) to improve my soft skills and acquire more experience and knowledge in the translation field. Consequently, all the assignments carried out during the internship and a theoretical component related to the work performed at CEOS.PP were listed. In the theoretical component, there was research on the experience in translation and post-editing of machine translation acquired in the research centre from the point of view of authors such as Nitze & Hansen-Schirra, Kenny, Shin D. e Chon Y. V., and more. I present the history of machine translation and the machine translation systems evolution, the advantages and disadvantages of neural machine translation, the types of post-editing, its risks, the challenges and strategies of post-editing of machine translation, the competencies a post-editor should possess, as well as a brief introduction to bilingual post-editing. | por |
