Abstract(s)
This dissertation, conducted within the scope of the Master’s in Music Education, compiles a summary of the activities developed during the Supervised Teaching Practice as well as incorporating my Research Project. The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter contextualizes the Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave (the institution where the Professional Internship was caried out in the academic year 2023/2024). It also provides a characterization of the oboe students and ensembles, as well as presenting the programmatic content and curricular matrices. The second chapter offers a detailed description of the Supervised Teaching Practice, including the characterization of students and ensembles, the class schedule, the record of observed classes, and the planning of supervised lessons. The third chapter addresses the research project, which focuses on understanding how the student’s active role is determining in their learning. This is a theme that has always captivated me, as I believe in the possibility of creating significant learning experiences and that this can be a relevant point for engaging young people. In this project, I explore issues of Musical Pedagogy and how Psychology and Motivation can contribute to a more positive pedagogical practice. The main purpose of this project is to identify pedagogical strategies that can foster the active role of the student in Music Education.
