Abstract(s)
O presente projeto descreve sumariamente a Teoria das Inteligências
Múltiplas publicada em 1983 por Howard Gardner, investiga os possíveis
benefícios de planificar o Ensino Precoce de Inglês através de atividades
adequadas ao estímulo das 8 inteligências identificadas na teoria e apresenta
uma proposta de implementação de uma unidade didática de ensino Precoce
de Inglês através das Inteligências Múltiplas.
O plano de unidade elaborado tem em conta filosofias e metodologias de
ensino atuais baseadas nos conhecimentos sobre o funcionamento do cérebro
nomeadamente o Accelerated Learning e Whole Brain Teaching.
A unidade didática desenvolvida foi testada numa turma de 3º/4º ano e
posteriormente avaliada.
Os resultados da implementação do projeto demonstram que o ensino de
Inglês precoce através das Inteligências Múltiplas é possível e benéfico
sobretudo no que respeita à motivação, envolvimento e atitude dos alunos face
ao processo de aprendizagem da Língua Inglesa.
The present project describes summarily the Multiple Intelligences theory published in 1983 by Howard Gardner. It investigates the possible benefits of planning Early English Teaching through activities which stimulate the 8 intelligences described in the Theory. It also presents a proposal of implementation of a didactic unit of Early English Teaching through the Multiple Intelligences Theory. The unit plan has accounted up-to-date teaching philosophies and methodologies based on the latest knowledge about the brain such as: Accelerated Learning and Whole Brain Teaching. The didactic unit developed was tested on a 3rd/4th grade class and later evaluated. The results of the implementation of this project showed that the Early English Teaching through the Multiple Intelligences is possible and benefic mainly in what concerns students’ motivation, involvement and attitude towards the process of learning English.
