Abstract(s)
O presente relatório tem como objetivo apresentar o estágio e as atividades desenvolvidas
ao longo do mesmo, na entidade de acolhimento AP | PORTUGAL – Tech Language
Solutions, no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas do
Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto.
O relatório encontra-se dividido em três capítulos, sendo que o primeiro se foca na
caracterização da entidade de acolhimento, nomeadamente os serviços que esta oferece,
os departamentos que a constituem e a sua filosofia de trabalho. Para além disso, neste
capítulo, são apresentadas as razões que levaram à decisão da realização de um estágio
curricular e é feita uma breve descrição sobre o mesmo e o período de formação inicial.
No segundo capítulo descreve-se o procedimento para os principais tipos de projetos que
foram desenvolvidos e apresenta-se as atividades realizadas e as ferramentas utilizadas.
Por último, realiza-se uma análise sobre o volume de trabalho realizado.
No terceiro capítulo é elaborada uma revisão da literatura sobre os conceitos de tradução
automática e pós-edição e apresenta-se o método de registo de alterações realizadas
durante o processo de pós-edição utilizado pela empresa e destaca-se a importância desta
prática.
The purpose of this report is to describe the internship and the work carried out during it, in the company AP | PORTUGAL - Tech Language Solutions, as part of the Master's Degree in Specialised Translation and Interpretation at Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto. The report is divided into three chapters, in which the first focuses on describing the company, namely the services it offers, the departments it consists of and its methodology. Furthermore, this chapter outlines the reasons that led to the decision of undertaking a curricular internship and gives a brief description of the internship and the initial training period. The second chapter describes the process for the main types of projects that were undertaken and presents the tasks carried out and the tools used during the internship. Additionally, this chapter presents an analysis of the workload. The third chapter provides a literature review on the concepts of machine translation and post-editing and presents the method used by the company to record changes made during the post-editing process, highlighting the importance of this procedure.
