Abstract(s)
A mensagem patente neste mural é a
This project consists of an urban Videomapping installation. A narrative will be created on a theme that represents the City, Fishing in its artisanal form. The Mural was selected, located in a vacant building in the grounds of the old Seca do Bacalhau, in Vila do Conde. The motivation for this project is to use a multimedia exhibition technique about a recognized work of art in the city of Vila do Conde, and in this way, to combine the new audiovisual technologies with traditional artistic forms, as is the case of wall paintings, and instill in the public that, although the painting murals are static representations, one can imagine them in movement, and with this, embody the message of the work. The use of the Videomapping technique on this mural aims to give this work of art a new impact in the face of what the people of Vila do Conde have become used to, that is, to see the painting that is naturally static in a message that will be counted with visual and sound dynamics. The success of this project will certainly obtain an increase in the cultural and monumental value of the mural, and will represent in a deeper way one of the facets representative of the city's identity. With this valorization, the objective is also to make the cultural movements of Vila do Conde more known and to get to know the ancestral activity of the codfish drought that few people from vilacondenses truly understand. It will also praise the employees who worked there for years and a direction that was always in charge of a family generation. The mural was designed by Isabel Lhano, who performed it with the collaboration of Marco Castiço and Miguel Pipa, both from the Núcleo de Arte Urbana de Vila do Conde, and her son, Luís Costa. The message evident in this mural is the Memory of the activity that developed in the last century in the city of Vila do Conde, and that was extinguished in the 90's: "A Seca do Bacalhau".
