| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório diz respeito ao projeto desenvolvido ao longo do segundo e último ano letivo do Mestrado enquanto projeto final. Este relatório pretende contextualizar o objetivo do projeto, as suas etapas e respetivo desenvolvimento, e a sua finalidade. O projeto consiste na transcrição, tradução e legendagem de um vídeo de 4 horas e 13 minutos do foro de engenharia e que diz respeito à conferência sobre os sistemas de energia do futuro, “Energy Systems of the Future”. Esta conferência teve lugar na Faculdade de Engenharia do Porto e contou com a parceria e apoio de várias empresas de renome e cujos oradores são também ícones na área e conhecidos mundialmente. Decidiu-se a divisão do projeto em três partes para garantir uma legendagem da melhor qualidade possível. Assim, o projeto começa pela transcrição de toda a conferência, para posteriormente realizar a sua tradução de Português (Portugal) para Inglês (UK) de forma a existir uma compreensão dos conceitos e do tema em questão mais cuidada e pormenorizada. Após estas duas fases, inicia-se a legendagem do vídeo que, em alguns casos, envolve modificações na tradução e estrutura do texto. Por fim, a finalidade desta legendagem assenta em colocar o conteúdo disponível ao público no website do centro de investigação INESC TEC, em Inglês do Reino Unido, tendo em conta o relevo intercultural dos intervenientes do evento e do público com interesse na temática. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This report concerns the project developed during my second and last year of the Master's degree. This report aims to contextualize the goal of the project, its stages and respective development, as well as its purpose. The project consists of the transcription, translation and subtitling of a 4 hour and 16 minute video from the engineering field, namely the conference on the "Energy Systems of the Future". This conference took place at the Faculty of Engineering of Porto and had the partnership and support of several renowned companies whose speakers are also icons in the area and known worldwide. The division of the project into three parts was used to guarantee the best possible subtitles. Thus, the project begins with the transcription of the entire conference, to later carry out its translation from Portuguese (Portugal) to English (UK) in order to have a more careful and detailed understanding of the concepts and subject matter of the conference and also to guarantee the quality of the project. After these two phases, the video is subtitled which involve certain modifications in the translation and structure of the text before deciding on the final subtitle. Finally, the purpose of the project is to make the content available to the stakeholders involved in the INESC TEC research centre's, who visit the website in English, taking into account the intercultural relevance of the event's participants and the public interested in the topic. | pt_PT |
