| dc.description.abstract | Existem na literatura diversas abordagens à pobreza. De um modo geral existe consenso, de que a conceptualização da pobreza não está confinada à questão pecuniária, incluindo necessidades e circunstâncias imateriais tais como a integração do indivíduo no trabalho, na família, a participação na comunidade e o acesso aos serviços públicos, bem assim como as condições de saúde, educação, emprego e habitação. A habitação é uma necessidade básica e um importante indicador que pode refletir a qualidade de vida e dignidade de um indivíduo/família. A pobreza habitacional é um problema global, mas com especificidades locais e dimensões socioculturais que exigem a participação de stakeholders locais. Partindo da sistematização de importantes conceitos relacionados com pobreza habitacional, esta investigação pretende apresentar e comparar tipologias de resposta, considerando um contexto específico, o concelho de Braga, de forma a perceber os contornos das soluções locais para as questões de habitação e de que forma estes podem contribuir para a redução desta problemática. Para além de uma análise documental, centrada no estudo de informações que permitem reconhecer os formatos de atuação das duas organizações investigadas – a BragaHabit (empresa municipal) e a Habitat for Humanity (organização sem fins lucrativos), o trabalho é complementado com duas entrevistas aos responsáveis destas organizações. A abordagem empírica permite-nos identificar, analisar e comparar os modelos de funcionamento das organizações, as relações existentes com outras estruturas, a forma como as famílias são consideradas e as expetativas existentes relativamente à dimensão futura das próprias organizações e da problemática. Pretendemos identificar orientações no sentido de robustecer as políticas de apoio à habitação, bem assim como contribuir para o (re)desenho de respostas que possam ir de encontro aos desafios inerentes à pobreza habitacional. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Literature presents several approaches to poverty. There is generally a consensus that the conceptualization of poverty is not confined to the pecuniary issue, and might include intangible needs and circumstances such as integration of the individual into work, family, community participation and access to public services, as well as the health, education, employment and housing conditions. Therefore, housing is a basic need and an important indicator that can reflect the quality of life and dignity of an individual / family. The housing poverty is a global problem, but with specific local conditions and socio-cultural dimensions that require the participation of local stakeholders. From the systematization of important concepts related to housing poverty, this research aims to present and compare response types considering a specific territorial context (the county Braga) in order to understand the contours of local solutions to housing issues and how these can help to reduce this problem. In addition to a document analysis, focused on the study of information for recognizing the role formats of the two investigated organizations - BragaHabit (municipal company) and Habitat for Humanity (nonprofit organization), the work is complemented with two interviews with responsible for these organizations. The empirical approach allows us to identify, analyze and compare the operating models of organizations, the relations with other structures, the way families are considered and existing expectations regarding the future size of the organizations themselves and problematic. We intend to identify guidelines to strengthen the housing support policies, as well as contribute to the (re) design responses that can meet the challenges of poverty housing. | pt_PT |
