Com o desenvolvimento das tecnologias de informação, houve um enorme crescimento da economia colaborativa e, consequentemente, o desenvolvimento de diversas plataformas eletrónicas, como as plataformas e-hailing.
Com o tema das alterações climáticas e da sustentabilidade ambiental cada vez mais presente no nosso dia a dia, tornou-se importante perceber se os utilizadores de plataformas e-hailing são sensíveis a este tema e se isso influencia de forma positiva a utilização dessas plataformas. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho de investigação passa por caracterizar a consciencialização de sustentabilidade, nos três construtos do desenvolvimento sustentável (conhecimento, atitude e comportamento de sustentabilidade), por parte dos utilizadores das plataformas e-hailing, e de que forma isto afeta a utilização das mesmas.
Para esta análise, o estudo baseia-se numa revisão de literatura, assim como na distribuição online de um questionário, que auferiu 215 respostas de utilizadores das plataformas e-hailing. Após analisados os dados recolhidos, constatou-se que os utilizadores destes serviços são sensíveis ao tema da sustentabilidade ambiental, e isso influencia de forma positiva a utilização dos mesmos.
As conclusões retiradas deste trabalho poderão ser úteis para sustentar trabalhos futuros sobre o tema, e podem, ainda, ajudar os promotores das plataformas e-hailing, no que concerne ao marketing das mesmas.
With the development of information technology, there has been a huge growth in the sharing economy and, consequently, the development of several electronic platforms, such as e-hailing platforms. With the issue of climate change and environmental sustainability increasingly present in our daily lives, it has become important to hunderstand whether e-hailing platform users are sensitive to this subject and if this positively influences the use of these platforms. Thus, the aim of this research study is to characterize the sustainability consciousness, in the three constructs of sustainable development, (sustainability knowledge, attitude and behavior), of e-hailing platform users, and how this affects the use of these platforms. For this analysis, the study is based on a literature review, as well as the online distribution of a questionnaire, which colected 215 responses from e-hailing platform users. After the analysis of the collected data, it was found that the users of these services are sensitive to the issue of environmental sustainability and that positively influences the use of these services. The conclusions drawn from this study may be useful to support future work in the subject, and may also help e-hailing platform promoters, in regard of their marketing.
