Abstract(s)
A metodologia
This research has the purpose of studying the influence that sports infrastructures have on the fulfillment of the physical education curriculum, in the quality of the teaching process and in the learning carried out by 9th-graded students of elementary education in the municipal public schools of the 2nd Segment of elementary education (6th to 9th year) of the city of Armação dos Búzios-RJ. The Research was carried out in the 5 existing schools, reaching a 100% comprehensiveness and meaningfulness. The methodology used was that of mixed methods (Creswell, 2010), that is, the simultaneous application of qualitative methods and quantitative methods. Were developed different semi-structured interviews guides for the different participants of the research, the CEFEFII, RSEMED, the 5 school directors and the 10 active Physical Education teachers in the schools investigated. The 335 students of the 9th grade were given a questionnaire script, with closed and open questions. The 17 interviews conducted with the different participants were recorded in audio, with the later transcription of the audios and returned to the participants to validate them. The results of the present investigation infer that the pedagogical practice of Physical Education is seriously affected by classes carried out in non-school environments, outdoor courts and public squares. The Physical Education curriculum is not met as it should be in its entirety. Students have the skills and abilities affected compromising the integral formation of the same ones. The facilities and equipment are nonexistent, scarce or misused. The 5 schools investigated do not have ample physical spaces and sport courts.
