Este é um projecto de legendagem de um documentário brasileiro sobre a capoeira. A
tradução é feita do português do Brasil para o Francês. De modo a consubstanciar o processo e a
metodologia seguida, aborda-se, numa primeira parte, a questão da tradução audiovisual, com
enfoque na legendagem e na dobragem. Para melhor enquadrar a temática do documentário é
feita uma análise à história da capoeira, às suas origens bem como à capoeira na actualidade.
Finalmente, sistematiza-se a metodologia seguida para a legendagem e descrevem-se os passos
seguidos ao longo da tradução iniciando a análise também nas dificuldades encontradas e nas
soluções escolhidas.
This is a project of subtitling of a brazilian documentary dealing with Capoeira. The translation is done from brazilian portuguese into french. In order to be able to understand the process and the metodology followed, we will see, in a first part, the question of audiovisual translation, mainly subtitling and dubbing. To get into the theme of the documentary, an analisis of the Capoeira has been done, seeing its history, its origins but also the actual one. To finish, it details the metodology used for the subtitling and it describes the process followed during the translation, with the difficulties encontered and what were the solutions to those problems.
