Abstract(s)
projeto.
The project "Light, colar, lave, action: navigating the treasures of neighborhood voices" was developed insocial housing districts of a parish union in Porto and involved the participation of the children who live there and the educational community of the schools in these districts. The aim of this project was to change the representations that exist about residents of social housing neighborhoods, making roam for children's participation in this process. To make this possible, two general objectives were set: 1) to encourage the active participation of children as agents of change in their realities; 2) to promote positive dialogic spaces between children, the school and the community, aiming to reducing social exclusion. To achieve these objectives, two actions were developed: "Voices from the neighborhood", which aimed to work on the dynamics of children's participation in terms of deconstructing the stigma that affects them; and "Talking is learning", with the aim of promoting dialogue as a toai for social intervention by reflecting with the teachers of the JI/EB1. With the development of these actions, it was possible to see some significant advances in the deconstruction of stereotypes, in the creation of affective ties between the school and the community and in valuing the experiences of each child. lt's important to note that the project was based on the Participatory Action Research methodology, from a collaborative and participatory perspective, based on the dialogues, relationships, knowledge, dreams, reflections and talents of the people at the center of the coconstruction of the project.
