Abstract(s)
O projeto “motivARTE”: Projeto de Intervenção Psicossocial num CAO foi desenvolvido num Centro de Atividades Ocupacionais de uma Instituição Particular de Solidariedade Social.
As pessoas com deficiência ou incapacidade “têm sido historicamente marcadas, nas mais diferentes culturas e épocas, pelo estigma, exclusão e descrédito social” independentemente da sua capacidade funcional (Reis, Araújo & Glat, 2019, p. 4). Os contextos sociais têm implicações fundamentais na inclusão ou exclusão das pessoas com deficiência. As limitações impostas pela deficiência são ampliadas em sociedades menos inclusivas e justas que negligenciam o direito de escolha, de decisão e de participação ativa nas decisões que afetam diretamente a vida das pessoas.
O projeto “motivARTE” resulta da necessidade de devolver a voz às pessoas, sendo precisamente a sua finalidade aumentar a participação ativa das pessoas que frequentam o CAO e empoderá-las nos processos de tomada de decisão.
Neste projeto, privilegiou-se a metodologia de Investigação-Ação Participativa pela necessidade de envolver e devolver espaços de participação às pessoas implicadas neste processo, como sendo as que frequentam o CAO, os profissionais e quando possível os familiares. Neste sentido foram realizadas duas ações: 1 – “Para mim o CAO é …”, e 2 - “Reaproveitar para Transformar”.
O projeto contribuiu para que as pessoas participassem de forma mais ativa, expressassem os seus gostos e preferências, demonstrando-se progressivamente mais confiantes nesta partilha.
A continuidade do projeto poderá revelar-se complexa no futuro dada a dificuldade em proceder a mudanças institucionais. A esperança é que as sementes lançadas possam um dia tornar-se árvores frondosas
"MotivARTE': A Psychosocial intervention project developed in an Occupational Activites Centre (CAO) of Private lnstitution of SocialSolidarity. People with disabilities "have been historically marked,in the most different cultures and periods oftime,by a stigma,exclusion and social discredit" regardless oftheir performance capacity (Reis, Araújo & Glat, 2019,p.4).The social environment has fundamental implications in the inclusion or exclusion of people with operational incapacities. The limitations imposed by disabilities are amplified in less inclusive and fair societies that neglect the right of choice, decision and active participation in the decisions that affect directly the people's lives. The "motivARTE" project is the result of the need to return the voice to people, it's primary aim being to increase the active participation of the ones that attend the CAO and empower them in the process of decision taking. This project used the participatory action-research methodology,considering the need to develop a sharing space to the people involved in this processas well as the ones that attend the CAO,the staff and whenever possible, the families. Considering this,two actions were conducted:1 - "For me the CAO is ...", and 2- "Reuse to Transform". The project aim is for people to actively participate and express their preferences, to gradually establish confident sharing. The continuation of the project could become complex in the future given the difficulty in proceeding with institutional changes. The expectation is that the seeds launched could one day become a fruitful tree
