| dc.description.abstract | “Compreende-se que a dualidade dos sexos (…) tenha sido traduzida por um conflito. Compreende-se que, se um dos dois conseguisse impor a sua superioridade, esta deveria estabelecer-se como absoluta. Resta explicar porque venceu o homem desde o início. Parece que as mulheres deveriam ter saído vitoriosas. Ou a luta poderia nunca ter tido solução. Por que razão o mundo sempre pertenceu aos homens e só hoje as coisas começam a mudar?” A mulher tem de se olhar, ver e ser ela em prol de um conhecimento maior de si própria e consequentemente do outro e da vida em sociedade sem espaço para a desigualdade. Respirando esta ideologia surge “Violeta”, um filme que pretende traduzir a escuridão da vida desta mulher em imagens de forma reflexiva e poética. Tentando que cada espectador se envolva, tal como a realização se envolveu e envolve. O filme acompanha, portanto, o início de mais um dia, em que Violeta acorda e não acredita que esse dia vá ser nem melhor nem pior que todos os outros. Ela já não tem sonhos, vive como um robô, passa os dias em casa a fazer as tarefas domésticas e quando se cruza com um espelho, olha-se, mas não se vê. A dissertação reflecte sobre a abordagem ao filme que estabelece um diálogo entre a ficção e o documentário sob a perspectiva da mulher, da feminista e da cineasta por trás do filme. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | “It is understandable that the duality of the sexes (...) has been translated by a conflict. It is understandable that, if one of the two could impose its superiority, this should establish itself as absolute. It remains to explain why won the man from the beginning. It seems that women should have come out victorious. Or the fight might never have had the solution. Why the world has always belonged to men and only now things start to change?” The woman has to look, see and be it in favor of a greater knowledge of themselves and consequently the other and of life in society without room for inequality. Breathing this ideology arises “Violet”, a film that aims to translate the darkness of this woman’s life in pictures of reflective and poetic form. Trying to make every viewer to get involved, such as the director was involved and involves. The film follows, therefore, the start of another day in which Violet wakes up and doesn’t believe that day will be neither better nor worse than every else. She no longer has dreams, live like a robot, spends his days at home doing chores and when it intersects with a mirror, she look at herself, but she doesn’t see. The dissertation reflects on the approach to the film that establishes a dialogue between the fiction and the documentary from the perspective of the woman, the feminist and filmmaker behind the film. | pt_PT |
