dc.description.abstractAo longo das últimas décadas testemunhou-se uma rápida transformação na sociedade e no ambiente de trabalho, impulsionada pela crescente digitalização e aparecimento de novas tecnologias. Isto gerou uma demanda por profissionais mais qualificados com competências digitais, bem como a seleção de trabalhadores passou a priorizar habilidades técnicas e digitais, de modo a atender aos requisitos de várias organizações que procuraram adaptarse a esta “Era Digital”. Esta evolução tecnológica suscitou preocupações e debates sobre o futuro do trabalho e a interação Homem – Máquina. Perante isso, surgem questões importantes no âmbito do Direito do Trabalho, tais como despedimentos coletivos, por extinção do posto de trabalho ou por inadaptação. Ademais, surge também a necessidade de entender a Inteligência Artificial (IA) e o seu potencial para substituir os seres humanos no ambiente de trabalho, ou, então, fundir com os mesmos. Essa questão da “fusão ou substituição” será exposta. O objetivo deste projeto é expor uma temática em constante evolução, relevante para a sociedade em geral, bem como para o Direito do Trabalho, enfatizando a importância da proteção dos trabalhadores. Por fim, é de salientar que este tema atual e progressista merece uma análise aprofundada, explorando-se o papel do Direito do Trabalho na Era da tecnologia e da automação.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe last few decades have witnessed a rapid transformation in society and the workplace, driven by increasing digitalization and the emergence of new technologies. This has generated a demand for more qualified professionals with digital skills, and the selection of workers has begun to prioritize technical and digital skills in order to meet the requirements of various organizations seeking to adapt to this "Digital Age". This technological evolution has raised concerns and debates about the future of work and human-machine interaction. As a result, important issues have arisen in the field of employment law, such as collective redundancies, redundancy due to the termination of employment or unsuitability. In addition, there is also the need to understand Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to replace or merge with human beings in the workplace. This question of "fusion or replacement" will be exposed. The aim of this project is to expose a constantly evolving issue that is relevant to society in general, as well as to labor law, emphasizing the importance of protecting workers. Finally, it should be noted that this current and progressive topic deserves an indepth analysis, exploring the role of Labor Law in the Age of Technology and Automation.pt_PT
