Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação de mestrado procura abordar o tema da linguagem usada na dobragem, enquadrando-a no campo mais específico da dobragem em Itália.
A linguagem audiovisual, em geral, e da dobragem, em particular, apresenta-se já como um elemento artificial e fictício. Recriar a realidade é um trabalho árduo, ainda mais entre duas línguas e culturas diferentes. Defendemos que qualquer aproximação a um produto deste tipo deve levar em consideração o sue aspeto semiótico e a exigência dum conjunto de noções especializadas, que vão além dos conhecimentos linguísticos da língua de partida e da língua de chegada.
No que concerne o âmbito da dobragem, no processo de mudança de língua e cultura, foi inevitável adotar soluções que resultaram pouco ajustáveis à língua de chegada. Soluções que entraram a fazer parte do quotidiano e deram vida a uma variante linguística chamada, em italiano, doppiaggese.
Para aprofundar este tema, foi desenvolvida a comparação entre alguns diálogos originais dos filmes Pulp Fiction e Taxi Driver, da Serie TV Sex and The City e do desenho animado The Simpson com a respetiva dobragem italiana.
This Master thesis focuses on the subject of the language of dubbing, concerning more specifically the field of Italian dubbing. The audiovisual language is already a fictional element. Recreating reality is an arduous work, even more between two different languages and cultures. And it demands a variety of skills ad knowledge that extend far beyond Linguistics. An approach to any feature of such a product must take into consideration its multissemiotic aspect. Moreover, it's fundamental the knowledge of skills that are far beyond the linguistic characteristics of the source and target languages. In the field of dubbing, during the switching process of language and culture, it was unavoidable to adopt solutions which seemed slightly less suitable with the target language. Solutions which became part of the everyday language and gave life to a linguistic variation called, “doppiaggese” or Dubbese. To better understand this subject, I developed a comparison, between some original dialogues of the American movies, Pulp Fiction and Taxi Driver, the TV series of Sex and The City and the animation carton of The Simpsons with its respective Italian dubbing.
