Partindo de uma análise documental ao repertório para saxofone solo de compositores portugueses ambicionando se especificar nas obras para saxofone tenor, o tema para realização da presente monografia centrou-se na pesquisa, na criação musical e na interpretação, subjacente ao repertório para saxofone.
Tendo como objectivo a realização de um momento performativo com obras portuguesas para saxofone tenor solo, o trabalho realizado pretende estabelecer as bases de conhecimento necessárias para promover a criação musical, uma boa interpretação, com a finalidade maior de demonstrar as várias potencialidades do aerofone em questão assim como promoção do mesmo como instrumento solista junto do publico em geral, de alunos, compositores e interpretes.
Starting from a documentary analysis to the repertoire for solo saxophone of Portuguese composers aiming to be specified in works for tenor saxophone, the theme for the realization of this monograph focused on the research, the musical creation and the interpretation, underlying the repertoire for saxophone. With the aim of creating a performative moment with Portuguese tenor saxophone solo works, the work accomplished intends to establish the knowledge bases necessary to promote musical creation, a good interpretation, with the greater purpose of demonstrating the various potentialities of the aerophone in question as well as promoting it as a solo instrument with the general public, students, composers and performers.
