dc.description.abstractNeste estudo, apresentaremos a forma de contato entre inacianos e indígenas nas missões dos “caminhos de dentro”, no semiárido baiano, no período do Brasil-Colônia, século XVII. Falaremos sobre as nações dos “bárbaros indígenas”, povos que protagonizaram a história desse contexto e foram, genericamente, conhecidos como“Tapuias” por se posicionarem como inimigos dos colonizadores e dos indígenas da costa litorânea. O período de convivência nessas aldeias resultou na produção escrita do Catecismo Kiriri (1698), do Pe. Mamiani; e do Catecismo da Lingua Kariri (1699), do Pe. Bernardo de Nantes que visavam doutrinar e letrar para a “civilização” e a fé católica. Apesar doetnocentrismo, a arte de doutrinar em língua Kiriri revolucionou a catequese do sertão, sobretudo, pelo domínio de uma língua emblemática que tantos obstáculos causou à comunicação nesse contexto histórico. Assim, o registro da língua da nação Kiriri fica como maior legado da atuação da formação humanística pela passagem de religiosos, no norte da Bahia/Brasil.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractn this study, we will present the form of contact between Ignatians and indigenous people in the missions of the "paths from within", in the semi-arid region of Bahia, in the period of Colonial Brazil, in the 17thcentury. We will talk about the nations of the “indigenous bar-barians”, peoples who played a leading role in the history of this context and were, generi-cally, known as “Tapuias” because they positioned themselves as enemies of the colonizers and the indigenous of the coastal coast. The period of coexistence in these villages resulted in the written production of the Kiriri Catechism (1698), by Fr. Mamiani; and from the Cat-echism of Language Kariri (1699), by Fr. Bernardo de Nantes who aimed to indoctrinate and literate for “civilization” and the Catholic faith. Despite the ethnocentrism, the art of indoc-trination in the Kiriri language revolutionized the catechesis of the sertão, above all, due to the mastery of an emblematic language that caused so many obstacles to communication, in this historical context. Thus, the record of the language of the Kiriri nation remains as the greatest legacy of the performance of humanistic training through the passage of religious people, in the north of Bahia/Brazil.pt_PT
