Os dias que correm estão marcados por um aumento global no sector do turismo e da hotelaria, uma vez que as pessoas cada vez viajam mais. Assim, estas indústrias estão em expansão mas ao mesmo tempo que crescem também enfrentam mais concorrentes.
Neste contexto, as unidades hoteleiras continuam hoje a desenvolver técnicas para fazer face a concorrência e manterem-se bem posicionadas no mercado.
Verifica-se então que, além de aprimorarem as questões relacionadas com o alojamento, os hotéis cada vez mais se dedicam a oferecer serviços de excelência, nomeadamente a partir do departamento de Food and Beverage. Neste contexto, a aposta na organização e realização de eventos nas unidades hoteleiras constitui uma das vias que contribui por um lado, para o sucesso e aumento das receitas das unidades hoteleiras, e por outro, para a própria promoção das instituições.
Este relatório de estágio tem então como objetivo fundamental evidenciar a
importância do departamento de eventos para o sector hoteleiro. Desta forma, procedeu-se à criação de um evento temático a incorporar ao portfolio de eventos privados do hotel The Ritz London.
Para a sua realização executou-se o levantamento de informações utéis durante todo o estágio, no sentido de permitir que o planeamento do evento fosse o mais realista possivel, indo então ao encontro da dinâmica que existe no hotel. Além desses dados, realizaram-se também pesquisas complementares para ajudar no desenvolvimento do relatório. Ainda, recorreu-se ao conhecimento histórico pessoal possuído e a criatividade
para o desenvolvimento do relatório.
These days are marked by a global increase in the tourism and hospitality sector, as people are traveling more and more. Therefore, these industries are expanding but at the same time as they grow they also face more competitors. ln this context, hotel units continue to develop techniques to cope with competition and remain well positioned in the market. It turns out that, in addition to improving accommodation issues, hotels are increasingly dedicated to provide excellent services, namely from the department of Food and Beverage. ln this context, the commitment to the organization of events in the hotel units is one of the Ways that contributes, on one hand, to the success and increase of the revenues of the hotel units, and, on the other, to the very promotion of the institutions. The main purpose of this internship report is to highlight the importance of the events department for the hotel sector. Thus, a thematic event was created to be incorporated into the portfolio of private events at The Ritz London. In order to carry out the event, it was carried out the collection of useful information during the entire stage, in order to allovv the planning of the event to be as realistic as possible, and then to meet the dynamics that exist in the hotel. ln addition to these data, further research was done to assist in the development of the report. Still, it was used the personal historical knowledge possessed and the creativity for the development of the report.
