Abstract(s)
planificação, a lecionação, a avaliação a reflexão.
This research project aims to present a study about how is improvisation taught in educational practices of Ear Training classes in the school where this paper’s internship occurred. To further understand improvisation as a musical practice, we have looked in its conceptual definition and its purpose as a subject in Ear Training’s curriculum. Besides this issue, there were addressed fundamental questions for the exercise of the teaching profession, such as observation, planification, teaching, evaluation and reflection. This study is of a qualitative nature and it triangulated the data regarding the improvisation activities gathered from the Ear Training’s quarterly planification, the testimonies gathered from the interviews done to this subject’s teachers about the way they teach improvisation and the researcher’s journal about his experiences teaching improvisation in his internship. The results suggests that there is a bigger focus in melodic improvisation in the teachers’ practices and that they all agreed that improvisation is indeed something meaningful in the musician’s education
