Abstract(s)
A investigação
This Internship Report is part of the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice, within the Master’s Degree in Teaching for the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Considering the dual qualification profile, the report critically and coherently reflects the trainee teacher’s formative journey over one academic year, developed in two distinct educational contexts: a 6th-grade class in the first semester and a 3rd-grade class in the second semester. The document is structured around three main sections: the theoretical framework supporting the pedagogical choices made; a critical reflection on the teaching practice in the areas of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Interdisciplinary Learning; and the research project, focused on an innovative and transformative approach to educational practice. The research aimed to understand how Artificial Intelligence can support students in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education in working collaboratively within a Scrum framework, and how this methodology contributes to greater efficiency in group work. Implemented in a 3rdgrade class, the study involved 22 children and highlighted the impact of a Scrum model created by the children, with the support of AI. This process enabled the trainee to build professional knowledge grounded in a pedagogical practice that is informed, reflective, and critical, fostering the development of a reflective and innovative teaching identity, capable of responding with creativity and rigour to the challenges of contemporary schooling.
