| dc.description.abstract | This report aims to present the tasks and challenges encountered during the curricular internship of six months in the company AP | Portugal – Tech Language Solutions, carried out within the framework of the Master in Specialized Translation and Interpretation in Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto. The first part of this report focuses on the presentation of the hosting entity, its team and work methodology. Followed by an analysis of the company’s workflow, it also describes the activities undertaken during the internship. In the second part, the theme of translation quality and influencing factors is explored, focusing on the source text. Using academic information and professional opinions on the subject, this report intends to analyze how a translator should proceed when dealing with a source text of poor quality. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório visa apresentar as tarefas e os desafios encontrados durante o estágio curricular de seis meses na empresa AP | Portugal – Tech Language Solutions, no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução e Interpretação Especializadas do Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto. A primeira parte deste relatório centra-se na apresentação da instituição de acolhimento, da sua equipa e metodologia de trabalho. Em seguida, é analisado o fluxo de trabalho da empresa, bem como as atividades realizadas durante o período de estágio. Numa segunda parte, é explorado o tema da qualidade da tradução e dos fatores que a influenciam, com especial foco no texto de partida. Recorrendo a informação académica e a opiniões de profissionais sobre o tema, este relatório pretende analisar a forma como um tradutor deve proceder em relação a um texto de partida de qualidade insuficiente. | pt_PT |
