Abstract(s)
This Internship Report, entitled “Knowing how to listen: children have something to say”, highlights the construction of the teaching profile resulting from the Supervised Educational Practice, Curricular Unit integrated in the Master in Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and of Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal of the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, from the Porto Polytechnic School of Education. In this way, this work represents the culmination of the learning developed over the two years of the Masters, so it became necessary to explain and reflect on what was the path of the Masters, in the 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education, during the educational practice carried out. In addition, this document also intends to highlight the theoretical lines that founded and guided the teaching and learning process experienced. As such, this report also presents an investigative component - essential to the educational and professional path of the teacher -, which intended to demonstrate how the production of written texts develops skills related to oral expression. The outlined project was, then, driven by the weaknesses of the students in the domains of Orality and Writing and by the fact that these are crucial for the formation of informed and active citizens in society. Orality, however, tends to be undervalued by teachers who believe that the acquisition of skills in this domain comes from informal or unplanned moments. Thus, a design of the action hypotheses was created, which brings together the aforementioned domains, making writing a support for the production of oral texts
