O presente ensaio tem como propósito fundamentar a eficácia da utilização do Monomito, um conceito desenvolvido por Joseph Campbell, na curta-metragem Rafeiro (2016), um filme realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Comunicação Audiovisual, especialização em Produção e Realização Audiovisual e, ao mesmo tempo, sendo o protagonista do Rafeiro um anti-herói, ao contrário do habitual na Jornada do Herói, iremos procurar compreender as consequências desta variação da composição da personagem, no Monomito em geral e no Rafeiro (2016) em particular.
This essay intends to showcase the efficiency of the use of Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth in the short-film Rafeiro (2016), made under the master’s degree in Audiovisual Communication, speciality in Production and Directing. Given the fact that, unlike the usual Hero’s Journey, the film’s protagonista is an antihero, we will try to understand the consequences of this variation in the character’s properties, as well as in the general organixation of the Monomyth, and in the particular case of this short-film.
