Abstract(s)
The realization of this project aims to control times and production processes in the assembly area of the McLaren P13 and ML of MFTE (Mitsubishi Fuso Truck Europe's) models in a multinational company related to the automotive sector, with the objective of increasing efficiency of the production process. Initially the work focused in the confrontation of the model wiring scheme with the routing report in order to verify and identify if there were operations included in the scheme that were not included in the routing report (study of operations). Still inserted in the study of operations, the processes performed in wiring assembling (real study) analyzed and described so that it will be to confront the "theoretical" with the “real” processes. Subsequently, the time study was performed using the timing method and by monitoring various operations from which it was already known that the operation time was not in accordance with reality. Time measurements for each work station were also carried out. Finally, and taking into account the work done, the studied data were sent to the costing department and to the heads of the tested production line. Taking into account the objectives of the study, it was found to be appropriate to implement the line balancing (simple and complex), which production will start in 2017. In short, and as a result of the performed study, it was found that in the case of P13 model there is a difference of about 5% of processes by comparing the processes performed on the assembly line and the ones described in the Routing Report. For the ML model, the same comparison registers a difference of 4.8%.
