Abstract(s)
Esta pesquisa tem como propósito principal compreender as representações
de alunos do terceiro ano do Ensino Médio acerca do papel da Educação Física
no âmbito de uma educação permanente. O estudo foi realizado em quatro
escolas (duas de ensino público e duas de ensino privado) na cidade de Cabo
Frio, no Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Para concretizar tal objetivo, optou-se por
uma metodologia quantitativa, com recurso à técnica de recolha de dados
uestioio fehado. Foa iuiidos 375 alunos das quatro escolas (a
totalidade dos alunos que frequentavam a disciplina de Educação Física no
momento da aplicação do questionário). Utilizou-se a estatística descritiva
como técnica de tratamento de dados, a qual permitiu inferir sobre a opinião
dos alunos, permitindo alcançar os seguintes resultados: tanto a disciplina de
Educação Física como os conhecimentos por ela proporcionados são
considerados importantes; os conteúdos lecionados são considerados
demasiado repetitivos e precisam ser atualizados; os conhecimentos
provenientes da área da saúde são os que despertam maior interesse; as
aprendizagens realizadas nas aulas de Educação Física despertam o interesse
pela prática de atividade física fora do contexto escolar, na promoção de um
estilo de vida ativo, situação que contribui para a manutenção de uma vida
saudável, fato de grande relevância na sociedade moderna.
The main aim of the research is to understand the representations of senior year students from High School on the roles of Physical Education as regards permanent education. The study was conducted in four schools (two states and two private) in Cabo Frio, a town in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In order to reach its objective, the quantitative research practice was opted for and a losed uestioaie as used as data olletio eseah tools. All of the 375 students of the four schools were interviewed (the exact number of students who attended the classes of Physical Education when the survey was conducted). Descriptive statistics were used as data processing technique, which allowed to infer from the responses of the students the following findings: both the school subject of Physical Education and its knowledge acquired are considered to be important; the contents taught are rather repetitive and need to be updated; knowledge originated from the health field arises more interest; the learning obtained in the classes of Physical Education arises the interest of the practice of physical activities outside the school environment, promoting an active lifestyle that contributes to the maintenance of a healthy life, which is of the utmost importance in modern society.
