Abstract(s)
O relatório descreve o estágio na empresa Combo, Investigação, Formação, Consultoria, Lda. e o trabalho de tradução dos manuais de utilizador do programa MAXQDA desenvolvido para a empresa. Após uma descrição da empresa e a contextualização do estágio, analisámos as características do projeto de tradução que desenvolvemos.
De modo a melhor enquadrar o processo tradutivo, a metodologia e o trabalho levado a cabo, desenvolvemos uma breve análise aos conceitos de tradução técnica e de texto técnico e às características necessárias a um tradutor técnico.
É feita, em seguida, uma análise do estágio curricular, que incidiu sobre a tradução de manuais de utilizador de um programa informático, sendo apresentado o processo realizado para o desenvolvimento das traduções dos manuais e do respetivo programa associado. Aqui consideram-se as funções desempenhadas, a comunicação estabelecida com a empresa e o processo tradutivo em si. Descrevem-se e sistematizam-se também dificuldades sentidas e a metodologia seguida na sua resolução. Reflete-se, em paralelo, sobre as competências adquiridas ao longo dos dois anos de mestrado, aplicadas de diversas formas, desde a capacidade de pesquisa, à organização da informação e à constante utilização dos programas de apoio à tradução (CAT).
The report describes the internship at Combo, Investigação, Formação, Consultoria, Lda. and the translation work of the user documentation of the MAXQDA program developed for the company. After a description of the company and the contextualization of the internship, there is a brief analysis of the characteristics of the translation project that was developed. In order to better frame the translation process, the methodology and the work carried out, was developed a prompt analysis of the concepts of technical translation and technical text and the characteristics needed by a technical translator. Afterwards, it was made an analysis of the curricular internship, which focused on the translation of user documents of a computer program, introducing the process carried out for the development of the translations of the documents and their associated program. Here we consider the functions performed, the communication established with the company and the translation process itself. At the same time it’s described and systematized some difficulties (encountered/found) and the methodology followed for its resolution. We analyze, in parallel, the skills acquired over the two-year master degree, applied in a variety of ways, from research capacity, organization of information to the constant use of translation support programs (CAT).
