O Turismo de Eventos afirma -se como um motor económico crucial para o desenvolvimento dos destinos e da indústria hoteleira, funcionando não apenas como um motivador de visitantes, mas também como um elemento complementar que prolonga as estadias e dinamiza a economia l ocal. Perante o crescimento acelerado e a consequente competitividade neste tipo de Turismo , os hotéis são obrigados a adaptar-se e a especializar as suas operações para acolher eventos de forma eficaz. Neste contexto, a compreensão profunda das necessidad es dos turistas e dos fatores
específicos do evento que determinam a sua satisfação global torna -se não só uma vantagem competitiva, mas um imperativo estratégico para a sustentabilidade económica e o sucesso de qualquer estabelecimento hoteleiro que pretenda destacar-se neste mercado.
Com base nestes princípios, e após a aplicação da metodologia de triangulação, o presente relatório de estágio procura desenvolver uma proposta de melhorias a aplicar no Dunraven Arms Hotel, através da análise detalhada das avaliações dos hóspedes e clientes (quantitativas e qualitativas) descritas nas três principais plataformas digitais utilizadas no setor do Turismo e Hotelaria (Booking, Expedia e TripAdvisor ), e a informação adquirida através da observação direta realizada pela estudante durante o período de estágio curricular.
Event tourism is establishing itself as a crucial economic driver for the development of destinations and the hotel industry. It functions not only as a motivator for visitors but also as a complementary element that extends stays and stimulates the local economy. Faced with rapid growth and the resulting competitiveness in this segment, hotels are forced to adapt and specialize their operations to host events effectively. In this context, a deep understanding of tourists' needs and the specific event factors that determine their overall satisfaction becomes not only a competitive advantage but a strategic imperative for the economic sustainability and success of any hotel establishment that wishes to stand out in this market. Based on these principles, this internship report seeks to develop a proposal for improvements to be implemented at the Dunraven Arms Hotel. This will be achieved through a detailed analysis of the quantitative and qualitative reviews posted on the three m ain digital platforms used in the tourism and hospitality sector - Booking, Expedia, and TripAdvisor , and the information gathered by the student during the duration of her internship.
