Abstract(s)
The volatility of today's markets makes the ability to innovate a fundamental requirement for the longevity of companies. However, as innovative ideas don’t arise routinely, the best solution is to resort to innovation methodologies that don’t depend on specific procedures, but on a critical thinking mode, fertile for new insights. This is the fundamental principle of Design thinking (DT), a methodology that stimulates creativity and innovation, based on idea generation and problem solving. In this sense, the main objective of the dissertation is the design of the DT model and implementation plan suitable for Rumos Education (RE), as a strategy for organizational innovation, with the main focus on its support structures and direct customers. To achieve this goal, a qualitative methodological approach is adopted. With the collection of secondary data by consulting available information about the organization, as well as qualitative research using participant-research techniques, a survey and an interview to obtain primary data that supports the base model for the organization. This data is further analyzed comparatively, allowing us to identify points to work on and implementation strategies that should propel the organization towards the more complete model expected for the organization. First you will find a theoretical framework, followed by the presentation of the methodology used. Then, the presentation and discussion of the results, including the proposed models and development strategies. And finally, the main conclusions, with relevant implications for RE and other organizations seeking innovation and efficiency through the implementation of DT. The adaptation of the model to the specific reality of the company can contribute to the creation of an environment conducive to innovation, taking into account the organizational mindset and its capabilities and limitations.
