Abstract(s)
O objetivo principal desta investigação é comparar a gestão de escolas da
rede privada que implementaram um Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade (SGQ)
baseado nas normas International Organization for Standard (ISO) 9001:2008,
com escolas que não o fizeram, em ambos os casos situadas em São Luís do
Maranhão. A metodologia adotada é de natureza quantitativa e descritiva e,
quanto aos meios utilizados, caracteriza-se por uma pesquisa de campo. Os
dados foram recolhidos em quatro escolas do setor privado, duas das quais com
certificação de qualidade. O instrumento utilizado para a recolha de dados foi
um Check-list de auditoria aplicado nas instituições educativas, e os resultados
foram analisados através de estatísticas geradas a partir de formulários onde
constam os seguintes itens: organização, gestão e planeamento, crescimento e
desenvolvimento, estabelecimento de normas, melhoria contínua e ampliação
da visão estratégica, os quais permitiram a mensuração dos indicadores que
poderão levar à melhoria da qualidade educativa. As principais conclusões
remetem para a melhoria da qualidade das organizações que implementaram
o SGQ, evidenciada através do grau de satisfação dos clientes, quer se
considerem as lideranças, os professores, os funcionários ou os seus principais
beneficiários - os alunos. A capacidade demonstrada pelas equipas de gestão
em conseguirem o comprometimento dos profissionais na operacionalização
do SGQ, resultou na consecução dos objetivos e metas institucionais, o que leva
a crer que a adoção desse sistema de melhoria da qualidade, por um número
cada vez maior de escolas, poderá traduzir-se em benefícios significativos para
a educação no Brasil.
This paper aims at comparing the school management of the private chain which implemented a Quality Management System (SGQ) based on the norms of International Organization for Standard (ISO) 9001:2008, for schools which didn’t do so, in both cases situated in São Luís of Maranhão. The adopted methodology comes out from a quantitative and descriptive nature and, as to the used ways, characterizes itself as a field research. The data were recalled from schools of the private sector, two of which under quality certificate. The used tool used to the data recall was a check-list of hearing applied in the education institutions, and the results were analysed through statiscs generated from forms where the following items be reported: organization, management and planning, growth and development set up of norm, continuous increase and strategical vision enlargement of the indicators which can make opportune the increase of the educative quality. The main conclusions point out to the increase of the quality of the organizations which implement the SGQ, highlighted through the grade of clients’ pleasing, both the leaderships, the teachers, the employees and their main beneficiaries – the students. The capacity demonstrated by the teams of management get the compromising of the professionals in the operalization of the SGQ resulted in the attainment of the goals and institutional ones, what makes possible to believe that the adaption of the increase system of quality by a greater number of schools can be translated into meanful benefits for the education in Brazil.
