dc.description.abstractModern radiation therapy is an intricate field, continuously facing technological progression and complexity intensification. In order to provide the best treatment possible to the patientes, it is essential that the radiation therapists have appropriate and continuous training, attending the perpetually demanding needs of the field. The digital tranformation is happening at a fast pace. It has the potential to transform and disrupt economies, industries, societies, and individuals. The digitalisation of the economu affexts grandly the labour market, increasing the demand for professionals with digital skills. Given the lack of studies on the role of digital skills in the radiation therapist's profile, this study aims to compensate for this breach, by assessing digital skills and possibel gaps in the professional profile. The study was conducted between February 2019 and august 2019. Perceptual analysis of 46 radiation therapists was included in the study. The results reveal that 84,8% of the sample has a medium level of digital skills development. Additionally, are reported that 10,9% of the assesses individuals has a high level and 4,3% presented a low level of digital skills development. Further studies are recommended, in order to identify the specific digital skills where the radiation therapists are in need of further training.pt_PT
