Abstract(s)
A zona costeira é uma área bastante dinâmica e que se encontra em constante alteração devido,
principalmente, às correntes marítimas, que provocam o transporte de sedimentos, quer em direção à
praia, quer em direção ao largo. Este transporte provoca o aparecimento de barras litorais que podem
migrar para o largo ou para a costa, consoante o sentido do transporte de sedimentos. Por isso, o estudo
da evolução/alteração da linha de costa, tendo em conta o uso de séries sintéticas de agitação é bastante
importante para a análise da zona costeira.
Neste trabalho irão ser realizadas simulações numéricas, recorrendo a um modelo de morfodinâmica
adaptado para o caso em estudo, que permitirá um estudo à alteração do perfil transversal de praia,
recorrendo ao uso de séries sintéticas de agitação. Estas possibilitarão a análise da influência da ordem
de ocorrência do evento que, neste caso, será a altura significativa (𝐻𝑠). A realização destes estudos
permitirá observar qual o comportamento do perfil da praia aquando a variação dos parâmetros acima
referidos.
The coastal zone is a very dinamic área and it is in constantly changing, due mainly to the sea currents, that cause sediment transport, either to the beach or to the sea. This transport causes the appearance of coastal bars, which can migrate to the beach or to the sea, according to sediment transport. Thus, the study of the coastline change, based on the use of synthetic agitation series, is very important to the coastal zone analysis. In this dissertation is goinh to realise numerical simulation, using a morphodynamic model adapted for this especific case that will allow a study of the alteration of the transversal profile of the beach, using the synthetic agitation series. This will enable the analysis of the influence of the order of event which, in this case, is the significant height of the wave (𝐻𝑠). The realizition of this studies will aloow to observe what the alteration of the beach profile when changing the previous mentioned parameters.
