O Album für die Jugend Op. 68 de Robert Schumann como fundamento de didática pianística

Abstract(s)
Este trabalho descreve o estágio realizado no Conservatório de Música do Porto entre 2024 e 2025, no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, que se insere no contexto do Mestrado em Ensino de Música da ESMAE (especialização em Instrumento e Classe de Conjunto – Piano). Reflete também o projeto de investigação desenvolvido enquanto requisito parcial para a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Ensino de Música. Esta segunda parte do trabalho tem como objetivo específico, a exploração do Album für die Jugend Op. 68 em conjunção com outras obras mais extensas e exigentes de Robert Schumann, nomeadamente peças extraídas da Fantasiestücke Op. 12, Kinderszenen Op. 15 e Novelletten Op. 21. Mais concretamente, pretende testar a premissa de que o Op. 68 é útil no que diz respeito à preparação de um aluno do Ensino Básico para os desafios técnicos e interpretativos que irá enfrentar posteriormente, em outras obras desse estilo. Tendo isto em consideração, foi realizado um estudo analítico-comparativo entre peças selecionadas do Album e as outras obras supramencionadas. O resultado destas análises evidencia uma grande proximidade em diversos parâmetros.
This work describes in detail the activities that took place at the Conservatório de Música do Porto between 2024 and 2025, under the context of the “Supervised Teaching Practice” subject of the Master’s degree in Music Teaching at ESMAE (specialization in Instrument and Chamber Music – Piano). Secondly, it also means to present the research project developed as a partial requirement for the fulfilment of the Master’s degree in Music Teaching. Specifically, this second part of the work intends to explore the Album für di Jugend Op. 68, in conjunction with other, longer and more demanding musical works by Robert Schumann, namely, a selection of pieces from Fantasiestücke Op. 12, Kinderszenen Op. 15 and Novelletten Op. 21. Additionally, it aims to test the premise of whether the Op. 68 is, or isn´t, useful in preparing a beginner student to face, later on, the technical and interpretative challenges that this style of work has to offer. With this in mind, an analytical and comparative study was elaborated between selected pieces from the Album and the other aforementioned works. The result of this analysis points to a great proximity between works regarding several parameters.
