Abstract(s)
O mundo automóvel consiste num vasto universo de conhecimento e experiências. O desporto automóvel nasce da inegável vontade humana por competir e explorar sensações de adrenalina a altas velocidades. Do ponto de vista da Engenharia, o desenho e conceção de um veículo de desporto automóvel é uma tarefa fascinante. A interligação de inúmeros conceitos faz do desporto automóvel um exercício de Engenharia muito complexo por estes estarem todos interligados. Este trabalho consiste no desenvolvimento de uma solução de automóvel monolugar Formula TUGA, aprofundando o estudo do quadro e da geometria de suspensão para este veículo. O desenvolvimento deste trabalho consistiu no projeto e análise de parâmetros do desenho de um quadro e geometria de suspensão. Sendo o desenho de um monolugar uma solução com compromissos, a análise deste trabalho foi realizada com foco não só no desempenho e velocidade, mas também com premissas de ergonomia e alta segurança. No desenho da solução final teve-se especial atenção às normas de segurança que estão referenciadas em vários regulamentos, assim como questões de ergonomia e princípios de engenharia na avaliação e parametrização da suspensão.
The automotive world holds a vast universe of knowledge and experience. Motorsport was born from the undeniable human desire to compete and exploit adrenaline sensations granted by high speeds. From the engineering point of view, designing a sports car is a fascinating quest. Motorsport it´s a very complex Engineering exercise since it requires the connection of very different concepts. This work consists in the development of a Formula TUGA´ single seat race car, furthering more a suspension geometry and frame design study for this vehicle. The development of this work consisted in the design and dynamic analysis of the frame design and suspension geometry. The design of a single-seat car requires compromises. Also, the analysis in this work was carried out focusing not only on performance and speed, but also with premises of ergonomics and high safety. In the design of the final solution, special attention was focused regarding safety standards that are referenced in various technical regulations, as well as standards of ergonomics and engineering principles for a proper suspension parameterization and analysis.
