Abstract(s)
The exchange of information between all actors in a building is becoming easier, because technological developments in the construction sector. The methodology BIM (Building Information Modeling) allows construction professionals a detailed project management, shared by all stakeholders, from conception to maintenance. Presently, the maintenance of the building is already an important activity, since it is perceived as a way to avoid high costs of maintenance. As a result of the need to manage the maintenance of the buildings after construction, was created the methodology known as Facility Management (FM). This approach was the need to link between BIM and FM, which is increasingly evident. This thesis aims to address the use of these methodologies, because they are quite recent in Portugal, by applying these methodologies to a real case study.
