Abstract(s)
Patreon e a mentora do Patreon Atelier Piino, a designer Rita Botelho. Numa terceira
The growing interest in art and design conceived from polymer clay and the research carried out for the present study reveal that there is still unknown information in this area. This study aims to design contemporary jewelry pieces inspired by Black Pottery of Bisalhães, these pieces are made from polymer clay. Morphologically, this project was developed as follows: in the first phase, Black Pottery of Bisalhães, Contemporary Jewelry and Polymer Clay were approached in a theoretical way and how it came about. In the second phase, we developed one of the learning methodologies of this project, via the Patreon platform and the mentor of Patreon Atelier Piino, and the designer Rita Botelho. In the third phase, the process of idealization of the present project and all the practical work was approached, from the making of cutters to the handling of FIMO, as well as the execution of tests of the models created all the way up to the final results. Finally, in a brief note, the experience of Workshop RO.DA was shared, a workshop that aimed to experiment and touch clay in a potter's wheel. The final results of this project revealed the final image of an entire process of deconstruction and inspiration regarding the ceramics of Black Pottery of Bisalhães. The theoretical segment of this project will contribute to a better knowledge about the centenary art of Black Pottery of Bisalhães as well as about the still unknown art made with polymer clay, for designers and artists and also for the general public.
