Abstract(s)
The promotion of the psychosocial well-being of a teenager should be a primary goal for his integration on a Free Time Activity Center (CATL). For that, his free time, beyond the study support, should reflect his preferences, free will and spontaneity. In this sense, the need to promote more positive interpersonal relations between adolescents and the pedagogical team should aim the construction of a cohesive relationship, with a view to their participation, in a citizen and solidarity way, on the CATL daily life. Based on a participatory action-research methodology, the development of the project “Together we built and educate", reflects psychosocial intervention with teenagers on the CATL, with the finality of promote an active and participatory citizenship of the adolescents, in this context. For that it were outlined three main goals: 1. to promote adolescents motivation and integration on ludic and pedagogical activities in the CATL; 2. to promote positive relationships, mutual respect and cooperation between adolescents and with EP; and 3. to promote an active participation of the pedagogical team and adolescents in the community. To achieve these goals we used a psychosocial intervention, forming a teenager work group, using in the sessions, essentially, group techniques, with the objective to reflect “here and now” about CATL daily life. The results demonstrated a stronger group cohesion among adolescents, resulting from a conscious knowledge of themselves and the other, and the establishment of more positive interpersonal relationships, between these and the pedagogical team during the daily life on the CATL.
