Este projeto documental pretende ser um estudo sobre as salas de cinema e a experiência do cinema. As cidades têm vindo a perder os seus templos do cinema. O ato de ir ao cinema está a perder importância social. Deixou-se de ir às salas escuras em busca do sonho. Vivia-se o cinema e sentia-se o cinema, em conjunto. Hoje, estamos sozinhos. Assim como estes lugares que estão isolados, sem público, sem projecionistas, sem filmes, sem o cinema no seu estado mais puro. Perdeu-se o hábito de ir ao cinema, deixou-se de sonhar, apagaram-se as memórias daqueles lugares e daqueles que por lá passaram e viveram, com emoção, o cinema. Era uma vez um filme e as memórias desse sonho. Restam-nos apenas algumas memórias, memórias de um filme.
Um templo. Um ritual. Múltiplas experiências.
This documentary project aims to study the movie theaters and the movie experience. Cities have been losing their temples of cinema. The act of going to the cinema is losing social importance. People do not go to the dark room in search of the dream. The film was lived and the film was felt, together. Today, we are alone. Like these places that are isolated, without public, without projectionists, without films, without cinema. The habit of going to the cinema was lost, we do not dream, the memories of these places and the ones who went there and lived there, with emotion, the cinema, are gone. There was once a film and the memories of that dream. Some memories remain, the memories of a film. A temple. A ritual. Multiple experiences.
