Atualmente vivemos num mundo preenchido de normas. Com a evolução, a competitividade e o surgimento de novas tecnologias têm obrigado as empresas em busca de novas formas de melhoria de processos e/ou produtos para poderem alcançar um resultado desejado, mais eficiente e eficaz. As normas da ISO assumem um papel cada vez mais importante num mercado cada vez mais exigente, crescendo progressivamente e quase exponencialmente.
Na presente dissertação, desenvolve-se a temática da importância das normas ISO 9001, o papel da auditoria para a gestão da qualidade e o conceito de qualidade e o seu valor.
Foi elaborado um questionário de questões de natureza quantitativa, de forma a obter uma resposta mais concreta. A amostra de oitenta e cinco empresas da área metalúrgica foi extraída da plataforma SABI, tendo-se obtido com sucesso 28% de respostas submetidas.
Como conclusão final do estudo do caso considerado apurou-se que, para o sucesso da organização são importantes e benéficas a implementação do Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade com a participação de toda a organização e a existência de um custo/benefício que a empresa obtém.
We currently live in a world filled with standards. With the evolution, competitiveness and the emergence of new technologies have forced companies in search of new ways to improve processes and/or products to achieve a desired, more efficient and effective result. ISO standards play an increasingly important role in an increasingly demanding market, growing progressively and almost exponentially. In this dissertation, the theme of the importance of ISO 9001 standards is developed, the role of auditing for quality management and the concept of quality and its value. A questionnaire of quantitative questions was prepared to obtain a more concrete answer. The sample of eighty-five companies in the metallurgical area was extracted from the SABI platform, with 28% of responses successfully submitted. As a final conclusion of the case study considered, it was found that, for the organization's success, the implementation of the Quality Management System with the participation of the entire organization and the existence of a cost/benefit that the company obtains are important and beneficial.
