Este trabalho procura distinguir os diferentes tipos de relações que podem ocorrer entre instrumentistas e compositores através da co-criação e da colaboração. Para tal, analisamos em primeiro lugar o processo criativo do Fra Ensemble, assente na co-criação, e em seguida a experiência de colaboração com um compositor externo ao grupo, Carlos Azevedo.
Com um resultado final de duas obras escritas e a ser interpretadas no Recital Final percebemos que por vezes a colaboração e a co-criação podem não ser dois processos completamente distintos.
