Abstract(s)
The baroque flute is still not very well known in the musical world. There’s still a lot to learn about it’s acoustical performance and way of function, and plenty of investigation left to do in this area, with new technologies already available. With this study I tried to learn more about the tendencies in the acoustic evolution of three different traversos and the way they were made, and also how the way to write music for them evolved as well during that same period. This work tried to restart the theme of the search for authenticity in Early Music performances.
