Abstract(s)
Este projeto centrou-se, essencialmente, na importância da música enquanto estratégia de aprendizagem e nas suas repercussões no ensino/ aprendizagem do Inglês junto de crianças do 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.
A escolha deste tema advém do facto de se considerar que a música é fundamental na aprendizagem precoce da Língua Inglesa por ser um dispositivo pedagógico-didático estruturante no ensino precoce de Inglês.
A utilização da música como estratégia de ensino de Inglês, enquanto documento autêntico, permite ao professor abordar as quatro habilidades da Língua (compreensão, leitura, escrita e fala), assim como, iniciar os alunos na vastidão dos caminhos da multiculturalidade, transmitindo ensinamentos e valores de ordem ideológica, moral, religiosa e cultural uma vez que transportam no seu conteúdo marcas do tempo e do lugar da sua criação.
Através de uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o tema, da legislação em vigor e de uma experiência prática no terreno, pretende-se demonstrar e provar que a utilização da música em contexto de sala de aula, se assume como um recurso didático e metodológico muito útil e de extrema importância nos processos de motivação, de dinamização, bem como veículo de transmissão de conteúdos, transformando as aulas em experiências interessantes e significativas, originando uma aprendizagem mais eficiente e produtiva.
This article mainly focused on the importance of music as a learning strategy and its impact on teaching a foreign language - English, to young learners. The topic choice stems from the fact that music is considered to be essential when teaching a foreign language to young learners as it is a very important structural pedagogical device. The use of music as a strategy for teaching English allows the teacher to address the four language skills - listening, reading, writing and speaking. It also helps to initiate students in the paths of multiculturalism, teaching and transmitting principles of ideological, moral, religious and cultural values. I intend to demonstrate and prove that the use of music in the context of the classroom is widely considered and viewed as a very useful and effective teaching resource. In fact, the results of this work suggest that all pupils show greater development both in cognitive, social skills. This work also emphasises how meaningful is to teach English to young learners by using music for it is fundamental in the children´s process of motivation and stimulation to the acquisition of new experiences. The results obtained help validate that pupil´s success depend largely on the appropriate teaching methods used, in this case, music, for besides promoting positive learning experience it also encourages the “need to know more” in a fun, pleasant way.
