dc.description.abstractCom esta dissertação pretende-se saber qual a relação existente entre o financiamento e o desempenho das Organizações Não-governamentais para o Desenvolvimento (ONGD), ou seja, se um maior financiamento ou uma maior diversidade do mesmo, leva a um melhor desempenho e/ou vice-versa. Pretende-se ainda perceber se a variável dimensão e tempo de existência das organizações têm um impacto no financiamento e consecutivamente no desempenho organizacional. O crescente aparecimento de Organizações sem Fins Lucrativos (OSFL) proporcionou um aumento no despertar, interrogar e refletir sobre determinados conceitos sobre a gestão destas organizações (Mair & Noboa, 2003). Embora exista um aumento significativo de estudos nesta área, a questão central da análise do financiamento e a sua comparação com o desempenho é ainda pouco explorada. Para sustentar o objetivo inicial, esta investigação baseia-se num estudo qualitativo de natureza exploratória. As abordagens qualitativas são particularmente úteis em áreas que não estão muito desenvolvidas teoricamente (Edmondson & McManus, 2007), particularmente para o estudo do financiamento nas Organizações Não-governamentais para o Desenvolvimento. Esta metodologia agrupa a análise documental e a realização de entrevistas. Para a recolha de dados qualitativos, serão usadas entrevistas a ONGD de distintas áreas de atuação. A análise qualitativa deverá ser a melhor opção, pois o objetivo para a gestão não é aprovar ou rejeitar pressupostos básicos, mas sim, abrir novos horizontes de investigação e provar determinadas fundamentações.por
dc.description.abstractThis dissertation aims to know the relationship between financing and performance of Non- Governmental Organizations for Development (NGO), which is, if more funding or a greater diversity of it, leads to better performance and / or the inverse. Another objective is to see if the variable size and existence time of organizations have an impact on financing and consecutively in organizational performance. The increase emergence of Nonprofit Organizations, question and reflect on certain terms about the management of these organizations. Although there is a significant increase of studies in this area, the central issue of financing analysis and its comparison with the performance is still little explored. To support initial goal, this research is based on a qualitative study of exploratory nature. Qualitative approaches are particularly useful in areas that are not very developed theoretically (Edmondson & McManus, 2007), particularly for the study of financing in Non-governmental Organizations Development. This methodology brings together the documentary analysis and interviews. For the collection of qualitative data will be used interviews with NGO of different areas. The qualitative analysis must be the best option because the goal for management is not to approve or reject the basic assumptions, but to allowed new research horizons and prove certain justifications.por
