A logística interna assume um papel crucial na generalidade das unidades produtivas das empresas, pelo que, a construção e organização dos armazéns logísticos tornou-se um bem essencial para a otimização da armazenagem de stocks. Contudo, o dimensionamento destes espaços deverá ser feito de forma criteriosa e estratégica de modo a obter o maior número de vantagens quer na gestão eficiente do empreendimento quer na redução dos custos associados a este processo.
O presente projeto surgiu com a necessidade de ajudar na resolução de alguns problemas de espaço e organização identificados no armazém de produto acabado, na empresa Saica Pack, empresa conceituada de cartão canelado situada em Ovar.
Assim, foi feita uma análise ao armazém atual onde foram identificadas algumas limitações. Para contornar os problemas encontrados, foi necessário fazer uma análise profunda às referências com acordos de stock de segurança, recalculando-os e definindo a quantidade mínima de produção para cada uma delas, minimizando assim o desperdício de produção e o nível de stock existente em armazém destas referências. Foram implementadas estantes em parte do armazém em estudo de forma a aproveitar melhor o espaço e a organização do armazém. Este projeto baseia-se na reorganização do layout e otimização dos fluxos deste armazém.
Com as alterações efetuadas, a área onde serão implementadas as estantes, aumentará a sua capacidade de armazenamento em 22,5% e reduzirá as deslocações de paletes até 80%. O armazém ficará mais organizado e os stocks de segurança ajustados à necessidade dos clientes sem prejudicar a empresa.
Internal logistics plays a crucial role in the most of productive units of a company, therefore, the construction and organization of logistics warehouses has become an essential asset for the optimization of stock storage. However, the dimensioning of these spaces should be done carefully and in a strategic way to obtain the greatest number of advantages, in the efficient management of the company as well as in the reduction of costs associated with this process. This project began with the need to help solve some space and organization problems identified in the finished product warehouse, at the company Saica Pack, a renowned company of corrugated board located in Ovar. Therefore, an analysis of the current warehouse was developed, and some limitations were identified. In order to avoid the problems encountered, it was necessary to make a thorough analysis of the references with safety stock agreements, recalculating them and defining the minimum production quantity for each one, minimizing production waste and the available stock quantity in the warehouse of these references. Shelves were implemented in part of the warehouse under study in order to improve the space and the organization of the warehouse. This project is based on reorganizing the layout and optimizing the flows of this warehouse. With the changes made, the area where the shelving will be implemented will increase its storage capacity by 22.5% and reduce the movement of pallets up to 80%. The warehouse will be more organized, and the security stocks adjusted to the customer’s needs without harming the company.
