A literatura tem apontado para a importância da qualificação dos recursos humanos nas mais diversas áreas de atividade, incluindo o setor do turismo. Assim, devido ao setor turístico envolver interações sociais e culturais, torna-se importante apostar na formação dos recursos humanos, provenientes das unidades de alojamento, colmatando o baixo índice de profissionais qualificados no mercado.
O objetivo central deste estudo é compreender a importância que os recursos humanos qualificados têm nos Hosteis e qual o perfil do colaborador. Interessa, também, perceber as áreas a serem desenvolvidas pelos colaboradores dos Hosteis e quais as competências necessárias para ser colaborador de um
Hostel.
Este estudo conta com dez entrevistas semiestruturadas de natureza qualitativa, aos diretores e gerentes dos Hosteis da cidade do Porto. Posteriormente, as entrevistas serão transcritas e analisadas de acordo com o procedimento de análise de conteúdo.
Os resultados finais desta investigação, indicam a forte necessidade da qualificação nos Hosteis e, consequentemente, apontam para uma forte necessidade de obter competências específicas de modo a ser um bom profissional.
The literature has pointed to the importance of the qualification of human resources in the most diverse areas of activity, including the tourism sector. Thus, because the tourism sector involves social and cultural interactions, it is important to invest in the training of human resources, coming from the accommodation units, filling the low index of qualified professionals in the market. The main objective of this study is to understand the importance that qualified human resources have in Hostels and what the profile of the employee is. It is also interesting to understand the areas to be developed by Hostile employees and what skills are needed to be an employee of a Hostel. This study includes ten semi-structured interviews of a qualitative nature with the directors and managers of Hostels in the city of Porto. Subsequently, the interviews will be transcribed and analyzed according to the content analysis procedure. The final results of this research indicate the strong need for qualification in Hostels and, consequently, point to a strong need to obtain specific skills in order to be a good professional.
